yet again FairLighT give us another useless, non-descript file . Their NFO says ‘burn or mount’, yeah, burn or mount what exactly, it is a nothing file, it is just a file with no extension at all.
Why do they keep doing this, it is only them that gives us a useless file. before you all start, i have joined with HJSplit and all i got was the afforementioned non descript file.
Don’t think i’ll even bother downloading any more FairLighT releases
Got that problem too.
Here´s what you gotta do:
1-hjsplit join files
2-add extension .iso to the new file
3-extract in the same folder the iso file choosing when asked flt-spid.001. Your iso file must got 1gb aprox.
4-mount your new iso file and exe from drive
And voila!
Hope this could help you with all the fairlight releases
please someone answer to chunky monkey
Solution:
0. Download and install 7-Zip: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
1. Right click on the “flt-spid.001” file, hover over “7-Zip” in the context menu, click “Extract to ‘flt-spid\’”
2. Wait while 7-Zip joins the files together automatically, a new folder will be created named “flt-spid,” the flt-spid.iso (game) is inside this new folder
3. Mount or burn the .iso
4. Install the game using setup.exe
5. Crack the game, if needed (though it is pre-cracked immediately after install): in the .iso, “Fairlight” folder, copy the files “steam_api.dll” and “AlienSpidy.exe” then paste into the game’s install folder*, when asked if to merge and over-write existing files, click “Yes”
* Default game install path:
32-bit:
C:\Program Files\Alien Spidy
64-bit:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Alien Spidy
6. Play the game.
FLT have COMPRESSED and SPLIT these files using 7-Zip, except they have removed (by renaming the files) the .7z part of the extension (identifies and separates it from the native HJSplit extension .001), thereby, creating this unnecessary confusion.
For example, the currently named “flt-spid.001” file was originally made with the name and file extension “flt-spid.7z.001”.
For BEST results in extracting the files inside these archive files (.001, .002, .003, etc.) use 7-Zip, as 7-Zip created the files in the first place (best compatibility) and the file association will be automatically registered (set to be opened\extracted with 7-Zip unlike WinRAR) with 7-Zip (when 7-Zip is installed).
Thanks, you guys are awesome (Y)

Administrator(s) of this site, why are all of my comments I posted (on the 16th April 2013) STILL NOT published as yet on this webpage (Alien Spidy-FLT)? Most of these people NEED help to install the game; help (the SOLUTION and explanation) is in those comments I wrote (still awaiting approval by you and hidden from their view).
