“the procedure entry point CreateDXGIFactory1 could not be located in the dynamic link library dxgi.dll”. I am running Vista. Fast cpu good graphics but just will not start. Any ideas someone?

deleted the content of settings inside c:\users\yourprofilename\Documents\Battlefield3\settings\
relaunch : no more sound problem (and no more savegames)
also reported setting sound device to 44khz fix the problem
also check your BF3 folder inside regedit (allready mentioned here) comrades bug.
Finally game completed :) Pweww that’s so good for me :) Game has total 12 chapters :)
for anybody with entry point problem the solution is upgrade you windows to 7-32bit(x86) ultimate after 3 days of trying now i can launch the game viva reloaded

I installed the game, did the crack, I thought the game froze with a black screen, it was that long I would keep rebooting the pc, task manager would not come up to force the game closed… It was not a black screen freeze. It was my Comodo Firewall, slowing the game loading to a crawl… it would take about a half hour for the game to start running … now using only windows 7 firewall to block internet access the game loads in about 20 seconds…. it sounds crazy but true…

I have Comodo also. Defense plus only asked for one permission.
Seems slow to load (black screen), but it eventually comes.
Had to update Nvidia drivers on geforce.com to 285.
Created my own directory during the install. The TM never came up.
Watch to see if the caps-lock is on. If it is, you’ll just spin.
Took 60 gigs of space. (The rar downloads from filesonic, the 2 isos to mount, the 58 rar files to unpack, and the game itself.)

@chuck_schuldiner I’m having the same issue you were on Going Hunting, and I tried everything listed. My folder actually had to have the TM removed at installation to get the thing working, and I tried the video settings you listed and several other permutations for hours yesterday (since the bug happens at the very end of the chapter, having to reset chapter after each change to experiment is very aggravating. Sometimes some enemies appear, but never all of the ones needed to complete the mission.
Anywho, point is the bug still exists for some people.

when dima,vladmir and kiril arrive at the bioscanner in the car there is no one outside the car….but still i shoot him on vladmir’s mark…..when i get out of the car everyone vanishes off the screen……only 3 of us and our car is remaining …….so thats why i cant progress in the game………

For sound echo problem , you can try lower your game master volume (lower might help reduce echo only but it will still echo), i hope someone can make a post about fixing Echo sound problem for battefield 3 its totally anoying, please! thank you!
As far as going hunting, I gave up and found a completed save at gamecopyworld and just skipped that mission, considering the only thing after that HVT in the mission is the plane landing. I’m now having the same issue others have reported on comrades though. In fact all of my teammates have been invisible the entire way–led to some funny moments with a guy getting his ass kicked by nothing, but now I’m stuck.

Battlefield 3 Double Sound Echo Fix By Dr Ali Aliraqi
Before you begin and load your mission (on Game Menu)
Press Alt + Tab then Task Manager then rigth click on BF3.exe then Set Affinity
after that unselect CPU 1 ( Select only CPU 0 )
you will notice that double sound or sound echo disapear …
But you will notice also that game will become slower (because only one CPU of dual core CPU worked) so you needed to reduce resolution …
Note :Few Seconds after loading and beginning your mission you can reselect CPU 1 with CPU 0 and game will become faster …
But But But double sound or echo reapear when new loading regain (loading regain when you kill or begin next mission etc … ) …
So Conclusion : Dual Core CPU is main cause of double sound or echo …
if someone can test it (i dont want to test it because i dont want to mess with my cpu so if anyone isnt sure then DONT) and reply i would be glad….

I understand, that you don`t like Windows 7, I don`t like it neither. I like xp, my windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit crashed and collapsed in 7 weeks. i have anther problem first time i set up game .. there’s 3 file fail in extract setup after that i download game again and same problem happen again, and when i skip it and late game finish setup and try to run it first error because of kernel32.dll i download it and another problem because of msvcr100.dll and i reset up (microsoft visual C++ 2010 x86 ) after that it’s run but he asked me to set up origin after set up it …. asked me for serial key for game …. what i should do …… ?!!

the problem is that the game runs slow,it is full of bugs,and it stucks in one mission.
is it a problem with reloaded crack?

I was searching the web for a while and I put my sound quality to 44K. Het werkte voor mij, nu heb ik het originele geluid. It worked for me, now I have the original sound. U kunt dat doen door te gaan in uw afspeelapparaten> luidsprekers eigenschappen> geavanceerd. You can do that by going into your playback devices > speaker properties > advanced. Het zal worden drop down menu. It will be drop down menu.

werkte prima na de “tm” probleem .. worked great after the “tm” problem.. : D :D

Je moet veranderen je resulation. You must change your resulation.
Ik probeerde veranderd resulation 1024 × 768 en de grafische instellingen medium:) Als je geen resultaat weer veranderd uw resulations. I tried changed resulation 1024×768 and graphic settings medium :) If you not result again changed your resulations. Vergeet niet als je het verandert resulation en grafische instellingen je moet dat hoofdstuk herstarten. Don’t forget If you changed resulation and graphic settings you must restart that chapter.

Denk eraan dat je gewist “TM” Nu speel je regedit file:) Remember you erased “TM” now you play regedit file :)
Regedit> HKEY_Locak_Machine> Software> EA Games> Battlefield 3 Regedit > HKEY_Locak_Machine > Software > EA Games > Battlefield 3
zie je DisplayName en GDFBinary en dan Install Dir en je weet dat vrienden “TM” verwijderen en Exit:) you’ll see DisplayName and GDFBinary and than Install Dir and you know friends “TM” delete it and Exit :)

Hmm when half way through the game, the game always crush for me. Any one having this problem ? Any fix? Or is it my problem ?
after i install the game, crack it, and when i tried to start the game, nothing happen.
CreateDXGIFactory1 just crashes no matter what i do. Vista 64-bit, i have DX10 and updated it, removed TM at end…reinstaled game, tryed to remove TM before instaling…tryed several cracks, tryed run as admin..tryed anything i saw was posted but still nothing. also PC meets min requirements just sad.
also deleted TM in registry..no help
when i start the game, it flickers and doesn’t go to full screen ( loops windowed when i force it to full screen)

I installed the game using Daemon Tools, cracked it (several cracks tryed), double click on the icon but nothing happens…the game doesn’t start at all! My computer meets the RECCOMENDED requirements!! Any ideas how to solve the problem? Thx

To all who have dxgi.dll error:
You have to uninstall the graphics driver and then restart the Pc
Then automatically create a graphics driver then reinstalled the PC reboot
Then you installed Battlefield 3 new directx and reinstall and then it should work

Also the first time, the car is self-driving and the pistol is self-shooting. 4th time, Vladimir showed up. Damn the bastard in DICE. What about the promise ’bout fixing the game???? All I see is they just fucked it up. What the hell is going on with this game, really???? This is the first game I noticed that the beta is less buggy than the final realese. Anyone have stuttering issue and screen flashing while play in full screen??? I’m starting to worry about spending my money on this shit.
