In my case, Kaspersky is a problem. Here is what I experienced before uninstalled Kas, so you can see if you’re having the same situation. I installed and patched everything, copy cracks (the 2 .dll files), when I clicked on the LANoire.exe, it showed running in the task manager, but in about 1 min or 2, it disappeared automatically and nothing seem to happen. SO…
What I did is PANICKED (of course), and try to disable internet, Kaspersky, stuffs that people told me to do -> the result? well, same shi*t
When I became so desperate, like you now, I tried to uninstalled each of the softwares running behind to see what the problem was. After I uninstalled the damn Kas, guess what happened, the game ran and lead me straight to the game, though you have to wait 1 – 2 mins approximately. But in the end, you got yourself a working game. Try it, and good luck with it.

Finally got it working.
Downloaded the Retail DVD THETA version (Not the STEAM Unlocked Version),
Ran Setup.exe from DVD1 under Admin mode and internet off,
Copied Patch_2382_02393_1.exe from Crack folder on DVD2 to the game directory,
Ran Patch_2382_02393_1.exe under Admin mode and updated the game.
Ran Social Club v1.0.5.0 Setup.exe under Admin mode that has been created by the patch.
Blocked LANLauncher.exe and LANoire.exe from internet.
Launched the game from LANLauncher and went into options and put -str in the command line,
Game launched flawlessly with all graphics options maxed out. :D

Whene i extract the files I’ve an error on .part14… I’ve tryed to download from different source (rapidshare and fileserve) but it doesn’t work… what can I do?

Mike, Trust me, you don’t need a maxed out spec to play this game, what you need is your head. True, max ou all spec would be awesome, but really, a fun game is not all about graphic. I’d say my spec is the same with yours, the game is running fine with some balance specs, graphic is nice (that said I’m not running at full spec). So, if Kas is your problem, take it out and dig in. After you finish your game (in your sense), reinstall Kas and see if it’s still running. I’m trying to achieve 100% clues and question so it might take a while :D
And, ehh Mike, if the game is only running in about 10 sec, you might want to check the crack, make sure you’re using THETA crack. When I used the crack with several .dll files and LANoire.exe + Launcher, those files gave me the same problem (on and off in 10 sec, I mean), and I’m not sure they’re working.
Hmmmm, I’m having a good time ( not really :D) but since there still are a lot of you having problem, some are like me, so I’ll try to summarise all the problem I encountered and solution fix, if you’re having the same problem, you might wanna try this – Please note that these are the problems that I encountered, not all.
1/ Patch doesn’t work when click on it – solution: installed the game in non-space directory ex: C:\LANoire
2/ Patch’s running but could not complete (i.e some files are missing or no socialclub.exe) – solution: turned off antivirus and run in admin, if it’s not working, reboot the system and run the patch in safe mode
3/ Patched, copied crack, clicked on the LANoire.exe, and it showed running in the task manager IN 10 SECONDs – solution: check the crack you’re using, make sure it THETA crack (because if it is, the problem is below)- you can check by clicking on Launcher.exe, if it show install instead of launch game, then you might want to change the crack
4/ Patched, copied THETA cracks, clicked on the LANoire.exe, and it showed running in the task manager in about 1-2 mins (I guess) – solution: uninstall antivirus software, in my case, it was Kaspersky (note that: disable or quit won’t work)
TIPS: if you experience problem during patching, cracking, you don’t have to reinstall the whole game (unless you installed in a wrong-with space directory), just delete LAnoire.exe, launcher, main content, may be the language files, or may be all .dll files, then run repair, it’s quicker than reinstall everything.
That’s all the problem I encountered (or at least, I remembered I encountered) – so hope they’ll help some of you.

1-Windows Developer Preview 8 64-bit
2-Don’t have any Anti virus program installed on my Laptop.
3-I have installed LA Noire on my “F” dive – F:/L.A.Noire “without space”.
4-I have installed Social Club
5-I have copied all THETA crack files and replaced the original ones.
6-When I click on the patch nothing happens. It shows it on task manager but disappears after few seconds.
7-I’ve tried other cracks but I have the same problem.(I mean after clicking on the game nothing happens)
