Read the instructions and go about as it tells you. It works.
BE SURE TO HAVE INSTALLED STEAM ON DEFAULT FOLDER (C:\Program FIles (x86)) before you proceed though. I’ve seen cases where it doesn’t seem to work.

Personal skidrow hello, I’m using Windows 8 Enterprise and recently installed the Skidrow release Sleeping Dogs, follow the instructions to run the game on windows 8, installed steam and it ran, but the sound keeps crashing all the time. My PC is a Quad Core 2.66GHz 4GB Ram and Geforce GT520 2GB. I wonder if there is any path to solve this or if installing the update to 1.5 that can solve?

Was working just fine yesterday, today stopped suddenly, out of nowhere!! WTF!
After doing everything i could, i decided to reinstall Sleeping Dogs.v 1.5 + 12 DLC (Torrent). I could not make the saves from version iso (downloaded here) work in the version repack from torrent. I tried again to play the version downloaded here, and this time it worked. How weird is that? The version downloaded here (full version-two isos) only works with the repack Torrent also installed. Very strange. I remembered that yesterday I uninstalled version repack.

does this crack update works with the p2p version of Sleeping Dogs?

after a long time v1.5 worked :D , this is what i did:
installed sleeping dogs
installed only 7gb update which is v1.5
installed steam (didn’t work without it)
apply crack found on the v1.5 7gb iso
start playing.

just install steam and double click the game runs well

This works ok but i cant re enable hd textures whats that all about? I will go back to 1.4 3dm as i dont want to loose the hd texture pack unless anyone knows how to fix this problem !!!

I figured out my problem, i was using the vanisk repack from another site, if you use this update you will lose the hd texture files so before ainstalling this update i backed up all the hd files including the.bix and then after the apdate is complete i copied the hd files back over and it re enabled the hd texture pack :)
I had problems in the mission “meet the new boss” when to shoot or punch him slow responding .. and release “beeb sound.” There are not experiencing the same issue with me?, and I’m using the patch 1.5.still having the same problem. I hope you can help me.
thanks alot for carcks but new crack for Update 1.5 dont work well in Win 8 and we should set compatibility to Win98/ME and it causes many lags even on low settings.
i think problem is buddha.dll ,please fix it.
windows 98 does not support multi cores, go to the task manager and change the affinity to all cores.
I have a question, is the “Sleeping.Dogs.v1.5.Update-SKIDROW” release, does it only act as a “patch update” or can I do a 1st install directly from this release?

Hello Skidrow, im glad that i downloaded ur’s game, but there is problem with those missions and aim with shooting, we need this Update but we can’t download it.. there are Dead Link’s, can You Re-upload your’s Update?

the game was working just fine yesterday but when i open it today the game is not responding even i try to make new game it doesn’t work

Disable avg before you install the game and once it is installed, add the sleeping dogs folder to exceptions from scanning so that the anti virus does not delete it. If buddha.dll continues to go missing disable Microsoft Security Essentials and re download the patch. copy and paste the patch in and make sure buddha.dll is still there..
Those who are experiencing white screen, update the game to 1.4 first. Copy the 1.4 patch inside the sleeping dogs folder. Inside the sleeping dogs folder will be a file called “~Update10to14″ click on that and let it patch to 1.4. After this is done, copy the 1.5 patch into the folder and replace the files, there will be another file for 1.4 to 1.5 update similar to the previous one, open it, let it update and enjoy the game.

hey when clicking on the executable or the launcher in version 1 or version 1.5 nothing happens (no error message, nothing). I have a current steam account with purchased games on there so having steam is also not a problem. I have tried running both the launcher and exe as admin to no avail… I have had that binkw32.dll error only once all other times there has been no error message at all only a steamstart file in the directory most times. any feedback would be hugely appreciated.
