For those who are reporting blank screen on startup –
I had the first episode installed from before. I didn’t uninstall it after finishing. Now I downloaded the “episode 2 only”. Then this is what I did -
1. unrar it.
2. go to content, find a folder named “pack”.
3. copy that “pack” folder to your walking dead installation directory.
4. when copying I skipped when it prompted if it should override the “default” subdirectory.
5. then copy and overwrite the three dll files into the installation directory.
6. startup the game with “walkingdead101.exe” from the installation directory.
7. go to “episode status”, you should see episode 2 “installed” now.

so, after i extract the game for some random folder, I launch the game and i get black screen, nothin happening after i launch thats what I mean, and btw sockshare works fine, downloaded on 3mb constantly.

To play you have to copy the folder “Pack” of the Episode 2 and paste it in C:Program Files\The Walking Dead\ whitch is the directory that you installed with the first episode and overwrite all, then launch WalkingDead101.exe and you can play Episode 2 and the game remembers all the decisions that you made in Episode 1

Why have both for download? I don’t have a very quick connection, and I already have the first episode. Just have the 2nd episode for download for us folks who are working with slower connections.

Sorry guys, but I did exactly as you said, pasted all the content from Ep2 to Ep1 and I can only access the last save of Ep1 just before the end. Then when I finish it there is no chance to carry on playing Episode 2. In Episode status, only New Day is installed, If I press play New Game, I play Episode I. So what the hell I am doing wrong ?

I don’t know. I just described how it worked for me. I can’t really say how is it going wrong on your end. If you have done it right, in episode status, episode 2 should be labeled “installed” in stead of coming soon. Given that, if you have the save games from episode 1, load that when you hit “play” in main menu, then episode 1 options will come up. But on the top right corner, there’ll be an arrow to go to episode 2, click on that arrow, and you should have “play” option for episode 2. That’s how it continues episode-to-episode.

1)Download second chapter of the game(not the first links posted here,the second ones are the only working properly,file size=1.40 gb aprox.)
2)If u previously play first chapter,theres a file named”prefs.prop” on”C:\Users\youreusername\Documents\Telltale Games\TheWalkingDead”
3)Copy and paste it on the new folder in “C:\Users\youreusername\Documents\Telltale Games\TheWalkingDead2″,who is a folder created after u play the game 4 first time(second chapter)
4)Now u can play with decisions taked on first chapter!!!!!
And if u have uninstalled first chapter(like me),u are lucky!!!!! Cause the folder C:\Users\youreusername\Documents\Telltale Games\TheWalkingDead”,still exists after uninstall!!!!
I saved Claire during episode one, but when I load and continue on episode two, the recap cutscene shows that I saved Doug instead. Which is really weird. Something is definitely wrong with my save file. Any solution?
Hey, I´ve got the same problem like sixtheninth. Though in Episode status Episode 2 is declared as installed, I can only access my last savegame from episode 1, there is no chance to play episode 2. Any idea?
Hey, I´m an idiot. After choosing your savegame, you have to click on the white arrow in the top right screen corner, then the game switches to episode 2. Fine, my brain´s back…

after watching the walking dead ep1 “main events” when playing ep2,the screen goes black,but there are sounds of someone or something eating… sounds like a zombie eating on a corpse.but againg,only sound…wtf?

I have been waiting for this a while and was very happy to see it when I did my usual game check. great stuff, wish I could afford it, but the way I look at it is, i don’t have any money, so therefore there would be no way for me to ever even buy the game. i would be lost and board out of mine if it wasn’t for this site and torrents, so thank you team skidrow for keeping this guy sane and entertained.
Okey I followed Seize’s instruction as the last stand option. First Of all there is no such a folder in Documents it has spaces between the words therefore it is \The Walking Dead folder. I have created the The Walking Dead 2 folder and placed the savefile in it. But still, when I click on the arrow, I get Episode 2 – Coming Soon. I have installed/unninstalled and installed the game like 4 times already.
Crying for help :( The Episode 1 is the Reloaded version and Episode 2 is taken from here the TyNSIO version. Are they even compatible ???

this version is so BUGGY! im in the stable inside the barn where the cow is held. every time i enter one of the mini gates of the stable (3 to the left,2 to the right) i cant get out of them. its annoying!!! i have to close the game and start the whole scene again,right from the moment i come back from the bandits camp.
please ive searched all over the web for a patch or a fix…nothing. does anyone have the same problem as i do?

Has stated above though this needs you to have the first episode installed already. Some people seem to be getting confused. I just dragged everything over to my original install folder and it works perfectly.
