finally got it to work all i had to do was install game from runic s site and then run game without crack then close and put crack in and type start in suprise

i have installed the game and already played it for a while.
but when i restart my laptop, the file surprise.exe doesn’t work this time. I run torchlight.exe and it requires me to input the beta key.
I have tried many way: run by admin, run launcher then run surprise.exe, reinstall but it doesn’t work.
What’s happened?
If beta asking for activation code just change the calendar system from June to May.

For those asking about the problem of the .NET problem, check if you have installed the Microsoft .NET Framework 4, if don´t, you have to download it, and if you have it already reinstall it. This works for me so it has to work for you too ;D

Beta crack works flawlessly. Make sure you download from Skidrow Torchlight II 2012 Beta Cracked.
Follow instructions as per Skidrow NFO above.
Before you run Surprise.exe, make sure you roll back the date in windows. (I use May 27th, it works)
-Run as administrator
-Must closed and run as admin again every time you want to play
Choose your Char, name, looks, class, pet, pet name. Then hit play
Create a username/password
Click Internet. Then it will ask you to create a game. Type any game name, name the game again in the next screen, and then hit play. Enjoy!

to play the bete if it ask for an serial, just set the pc date at the 31.05.2012 and start surprise.exe and type “start”. the beta has a date lock an ask u for a serial after that date. if u set the date at 31.05. the game start fine ^_^ sry for my damn bad english xD

I have done the process as indicated in the NFO section as well as changed my date to reflect 5/31/2012, but when it comes time to enter the user name and password, it always fails. It says “Invalid username or password”. How do I troubleshoot this?

Change your date settings on windows to 27 may and run as administrator, type start in the command prompt, press enter and Eureka it works, but don’t get to excited its only Act1 and the most recent estimate for release was June/July 2012 and there been rumors that say it’ll be the 28 August and the 10 or 22 September nothing official has been said to confirm this and the last official post on the news page of the website was July 20th, 2012, I’m not sure but to me that doesn’t look good

For all those of you struggling with invalid name/password issue. Start the game with tl2.beta.launcher.exe not with Torchlight2.exe. That worked for me. Also do not forget to change your system date to May.
