And i can choose “abort”, “retry” and “ignore”
retry dnt help and everyfing stucks and ignore allows you to complete the installation but game dont start.

Found my own way to get it work :
1- Install the update V1.17 for the ( gui1.fbq ) file.
2- Install the update V1.18 do ignore the error ( gui1.fbq ) and continue the installation.
*** if you don’t have update V1.17

1. delete patch2.fbq and patch3.fbq
2. copy patch1.fbq and rename it to patch2.fbq
3. copy patch1.fbq again and rename it patch3.fbq
4. play!!!
i restarted the level my save was on at it works!!! to play the DLC start a new game and select goblins menace.
Guys Trine 2 has to already be installed and when you add the update and the
error message comes just click on ignore it will still work .

I put the fix in the folder, I ran the application, I installed the game but there is still a problem with the lua.dll

If this is really Skidrow, which I doubt (I think some people took their name), then you suck. All your releases lately have been a mess. Last time you released a crack for Sleeping Dogs, without even telling in the NFO for which version it was, this time you have a fix and you’re clumsy by not adding the installation steps in a text file inside your fix, so next time someone grabs the fix, he might have no clue what to do. Stop being so damn sloppy, it make you looks like retarded noobs…sigh

i have windows xp and it has no UAC, even when i run the fix.bat in the setup folder i still got the file error. does it work for anyone on xp ?

Thanks Skidrow, it’s working like a charm! for the others don’t forget to apply the patch (by putting its files in the update directory and executing fix.bat in admin mode) before installing the update or else you will have an installation errors.

The lua.dll problem occurs when you install this 1.18 update without having the main game installed. I mean, this is only and update, so you need to download the game first, and after install it, install this update… Thats what i have done and im playing with no problems…

It worked for me Perfectly! He uses the Skidrow fix also and the Tutorial is pretty good explained :)
1.19 is out with some fixes for the goblin thing. i only got a 1000kb internet. so it would be great if i dont have to download the whole 2GB package again for the next update. could there be please one mini update from 1.18 to 1.19. would be really happy about that.

got the same problem as others during install:
“….\Trine 2\gui1.fbq
An error occurred while trying to copy a file:
The source file is corrupted.”
And i can choose “abort”, “retry” and “ignore”
retry dnt help and everyfing stucks and ignore allows you to complete the installation but game dont start.
any fix for that?

I had that lua.dll problem aswell. the nicely easy solution is: get the trine 2 demo via steam,
find the trine 2 folder by searching ‘trine’ in your steam folder.
copy it to your custom direction.
install the version which has the lua problem into the demo dir.
