I just did what *bleh posted and it worked, but… there´s no textures, no lights, i can see some shapes but everything is black! even changing the settings it´s useless. At the menu, and only for a sec, everything is normal but in just one moment turns black. The gui and menus are perfectly normal, and the game is functional, except for this. The demo worked so i have no clue what is causing this problem. Little help here. :(

Yeah, it looks like the installer skips over setup-2.bin, so renaming it to one of the files it does unpack is a good work around.
Install folder is up to 10GB, seems like it’s all there.
Bleh renaming works well…but something wrong with the texture. almost everything is black when playing.
Thanx to ble I Installed it. Now there’s other problem: at least for me there’s no active lighting in the game. The game runs, mission comes by, but theres no lighting. I can see the outlines in the dark and the user interface perfectly, but no lighting. I already updated GPU drivers, Physx, Direct X and C++.

2: Descomprimimos el contenido del “XCOM Enemy Unknown Spanish Pack” copiarlo y remplazar todo el contenido a la carpeta XCOM Enemy Unknown / XComGame… (aplicar tambien el crack y Firewall the .exe)
despues.. 3: Editar dentro de la carpeta del juego… XCOM Enemy Unknown / Engine / Config / BaseEngine.ini “cambiar Language=INT por Language=ESN”
..y también editar en XCOM Enemy Unknown / XComGame / Config / DefaultEngine.ini “cambiar Language=INT por Language=ESN” (a mi no me funcionaba la traducción porque tambien hay que aditar DefaultEngine.ini)

it will enable us to launch the game but the something wrong with the graphics, there is no light !! i mean everything is dark and no texture dunno something is diff wrong, and i noticed while doin the setup before starting it states that it requires 12 gb, but at the end it only installs 8 gb, meaning maybe we need to rename couple more setup- files
I can’t see anything in game, its too dark,. However, the cut scenes work fine. Anyone else with this problem? What do?
how the fuck did you even thought of that bleh!? seriously? i troubleshoot for a living and it didn’t cross me to rename those shit. it’s working for me as well! now let’s if there are any bugs or shit. thanks bleh!
ooooops! spoke too soon! i don’t if it’s just me but it’s definitely working i can play and all the cut scenes are working fine but the MAJOR PROBLEM is the texture. all i see are black silhouettes. any one getting this issue or fix for it?

the intro movie lats like 3 min it’s about the alien pod crashing on the streets of germany and shady figure recruting you, did your installation play that when you start a new game?

for those that have textures problems including me, you need to reinstall back but b4 that rename back the ‘setup-1.bin’ to setup-2.bin and vice versa then run setup, the total install size must over 10 gigs..
i fix the texture problem just install the game whiout change the name problem, then install the game whit change name in other directory, now copy the first in the second and done XD
Don’t uninstall the game or you’ll just be missing the contents of setup-1.bin (now renamed to setup-2.bin).
Run the installer normally (playing the game now will crash on startup)
Rename the files
Run the installer AGAIN into your x-com folder
You need both installs in order to have all the files you need to play the game properly
i have a better solution for everyone! Download Jdownloader and download the FLT version. Use the putlocker links. *part 11 has an error though, so download part 11 from uploaded* It only took me 12 hours at 300 KB/s…and you get the full game with textures, video quality and no annoying unpacking and renaming busted RARs.
I know this might not be the best solution to some. But downloading this game from a torrent site is impossible since the download speeds sucks and the packed released is too annoying to fix and it has lower quality textures.
Working for me: Rename files in this order & install:

I have the same problem!!! As for now I finished two first missions but the game doesn’t have sens at all becouse It’s very hard to see the command center.

I managed to make the textures work!
Do this: rename the Setup-1.bin to Setup-2.bin Setup-2.bin and to Setup-1.bin, and install.
Then return the files. Bin to its normal state (Step Up) and install in the same place that the game has been installed, it will fix the textures.
Okay, the game is working normally, and the textures corrected.

i got it to work the first time but after a few seconds the textures literally fade off and only the dark shape of humans and stuff remain… come on guys brainstorm!!!! cause FLT aint doin nothin for it right now…

I have the problem with the black textures too….everything is black…. but it start the game xP
I think I got it!
start from fresh extract of the downloaded xcom repack
1. rename setup-1.bin (1.4GB) to setup-3.bin
2. rename setup-2.bin (0.5GB) to setup-1.bin
3. rename setup-3.bin (139MB) to setup-2.bin
4. install the game………then….it wont work but got to the xcom directory copy the extracted “CookedPCConsole” folder from the “XComGame” folder to your desktop or any temporary folder…
3. uninstall the game..but dont delete your setup files
4. rename setup-2.bin back to setup-3.bin
5. rename setup-3.bin back to setup-2.bin
6. then install the game again… this time it will work but with no lighting and texturess
7. cut and paste “CookedPCConsole” folder that you saved earlier… to your xcom folder\xcomgame….overwrite all..
8. play the game..
damn messy but i’m playing it right now… so far there a few things i’ve noticed like a floating “recruit new soldier” text on the customize soldier menu… yet…. i’m hoping there is no more…….
or someone could just upload the extracted “CookedPCConsole” its more than 3GB’s……………………………and i’m busy playing right now….

I solved the black texture problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if u already changed the setup like Bleh said you just need to change setup-2 with setup-4 . If you dont know who the heck is Bleh and did not changed anything yet.. just change setup-1 to setup-4 and setup-4 to setup-2….and setup-2 to setup-1

yeah install and with textures but the final size is 8.36GB, still making some weird jumpings in the installation and the game left a little bit riped, the intro movie is missing (p.e.) and who knows what else, we stiil need a propper solution

Problem solved, but the size is only 8,36 gb not 10 gb like aaros said. .there is no problem with the lightning and testure.
GUYs; a problem of another type:
I can play, good textures and lightining BUT – THE VIDEOS SEEM TO BE CUT (REDUCED), there are some ¨JUMPS¨ en the scenes… I played the DEMO available a few weeks ago and in the Tutorial Mission there were MORE videos and cut scenes.
Can somebody who is playing the FTL Complete Edition of 13.5GB CONFIRM if there is a CUT in this kind of content; it´s a pity to play till the 50% of the game to realice you have been playing an incomplete game!
I would be gratefull if you have any comments in this respect!

I managed to fix the texture problem by replacing bin 2 (the second time) with the smallest bin, I also made a copy of the new bin 2 and changed its name to bin 5 (I think, there should not be one earlier). I not sure if the second part really worked but it solved the problem. Hope this helped someone.
